Is Drunk Elephant's Buzzy New Product Worth the Hype? Team SN Finds Out

So when Drunk Elephant released their new E-Rase Milki Micellar Water, you better believe we were eager to get our hands on it. We asked three members of Team SN to add the product into their routine and give us an honest review of how it impacted their skin. I’m an avid Drunk Elephant user, mainly because it’s got a simple yet comprehensive line-up of colorful products all designed to mix with one another in any order. More importantly, I’m always comfortable lathering any of their products on my skin without the fear of breaking out because they only use clean ingredients. So when I heard about their newest product, the E-Rase Milki Micellar Water, I knew I had to try it.

At first application, I fell in love. It wiped away my makeup, sunscreen, and dirt with a milky formula. I decided to include it into my nighttime routine for 7 days to see if there were any notable comments to report. All in all, this formula left my skin feeling silky smooth, and helped to add a more luxurious experience to my overall skincare routine. 

For me, this product is definitely worth the hype. To be honest, when it comes to micellar waters, my expectation is pretty low. Until this one came into the picture. Whereas a lot of micellar waters stop at glycerin, E-Rase Milki Micellar Water has a slightly thicker texture that combines a ton of rich oils–marula, baobab, and wild melon seed to name a few. Excited about this new addition to my beauty shelf!

I consider myself to be a clean skincare junkie, so anytime there is a new product on the market I can’t wait to get my hands on it. This was the case with Drunk Elephant’s new E-Rase Milki Micellar Water. Side note: If you haven’t already tried Drunk Elephant, I recommend starting with their The Littles collection, which is an amazing introduction.

I love the idea of micellar water for summer. It’s hot out, I’m lazy, and sometimes all you need is a quick pick me up to remove makeup or cool off your skin. I tested this one out for a full 2 weeks, pouring a small amount onto a cotton pad and dabbing it all over my face. The formula is VERY different from other micellar waters I’ve tried. It’s much thicker than the liquidy “waters” I’m used to, and is super creamy, so the name “Milki” makes total sense. I like that the thicker formula adds a layer of moisture to the skin, so it doesn’t feel stripped or irritated. The product does a good job of removing my mascara and bronzer, and there’s something super satisfying about seeing a day’s worth of makeup on a cotton pad.

If I had to sum up this product I’d say it’s like a magic eraser with benefits. It’s definitely worth the hype, and definitely one I’m keeping around! 

I’ve tried a bunch of different products that are marketed towards effectively removing makeup and I’ve yet to find my holy grail. As soon as I heard that Drunk Elephant was releasing their micellar water, I had a feeling it would be the one! I’ve been a loyal Drunk Elephant user for years (and I use their sunscreen daily), so the micellar water would seamlessly fit into my routine.

I used the micellar water for 10 days to give it a full test run. The formula felt super nourishing and mild, but was still surprisingly effective at removing makeup from my face. I sometimes think makeup removers can be harsh on my skin and have even caused irritation in the past, and this one proved to be really soothing instead.

This new micellar water is without a doubt worth the hype and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an easy and effective product to remove makeup! Let’s just say I’m so happy that I’ve added to my skincare routine.
