The Sunscreen Brand That Changed the Way I Think About Skincare

When I was younger, my only memory of sunscreen was when my mom basically bathed me in it whenever we were headed to the beach. Never did I think it was something that needed to be worn all the time. In the summer, in the winter, while I’m outside, while I’m inside, in the sun, under overcast…the truth is sunscreen should be worn all. the. time.

As I’ve become older (and a tiny bit wiser), I know that sunscreen is and will continue to be an essential part of my daily routine. Sunspots, signs of skin damage, and cancer-causing rays are enough of a push to realize sunscreen's necessity in my everchanging and evergrowing pursuit of healthy skin.

But then I found the sunscreen brand that changed how I think about sun protection and skincare all together. Enter: Soleil Toujours.

I’ve been using Soleil Toujours’ Organic Sheer Sunscreen Mist SPF 50 since early June and my experience has been nothing short of life-changing. Here’s why:

1. This is truly a clean sunscreen because it's 70%+ organic, and it's formulated without oxybenzone or octinoxate–two harmful chemicals found in most sunscreens that are known to be endocrine disruptors, which basically means they can cause cancerous tumors, birth defects, and other developmental disorders. (Need I say more?!)

2. This coral reef safe formula is infused with hydrating antioxidants and botanicals, like aloe leaf juice, green tea leaf extract, and citrus oil. Even better? It helps keep your skin moisturized when you use it, thanks to the superpower hyaluronic acid ingredient.

As it relates to application... it's no secret that spray sunscreen is perhaps the easiest to apply, but it doesn't always feel great once it's on your skin. This Soleil Toujours is different: the mist feels luxurious and light. As I'm sure many would agree, spray sunscreen is inconsistent and can be clumpy at times, but this one has a smooth and thin texture, providing all-over coverage with no blending necessary!
